Successfully Conducted Free Eye Checkup Camps in Multiple Villages of Uttarakhand

An Initiative by Devisha Charitable Trust

Access to quality healthcare remains a major challenge in many rural and hilly regions of Uttarakhand. Keeping this concern in mind, Devisha Charitable Trust has taken a significant step toward improving community health by successfully organizing free eye checkup and eye surgery  across multiple villages of the state.

Reaching the Unreached Through Free Eye Care

Devisha Charitable Trust conducted free eye checkup camps at Gangolihat, Ganai, Raiagar, and Bankot, with the primary objective of ensuring that people living in remote and underserved areas receive timely and quality eye care services.

These camps were designed to identify vision-related problems at an early stage and provide necessary medical intervention without any financial burden on the beneficiaries.

Impact of the Initiative

The results of these eye care camps reflect the growing need for accessible healthcare services in rural areas:

  • 568 individuals received free eye examinations

  • 127 patients underwent free eye surgeries

  • Beneficiaries included senior citizens, women, daily wage workers, and economically weaker sections

  • Complete medical support was provided, including diagnosis, consultation, and surgical care

This initiative played a crucial role in preventing avoidable blindness and improving the quality of life for many families.

Focus on Rural and Hilly Communities

Uttarakhand’s difficult terrain and limited healthcare infrastructure often restrict access to specialized medical services such as ophthalmology. Devisha Charitable Trust focuses on bridging this gap by bringing free health services directly to villages, ensuring that no one is left behind due to geography or financial constraints.

Commitment to Sustainable Healthcare

Devisha Charitable Trust believes that healthcare is a fundamental right, not a privilege. The Trust is committed to organizing free health checkup camps, free eye camps, and free medical surgeries on a regular basis. These initiatives align with the Trust’s broader mission of rural development, community welfare, and social upliftment.

Looking Ahead

Encouraged by the success of these camps, Devisha Charitable Trust plans to expand its healthcare initiatives to more villages and districts in the coming years. Through collaboration with medical professionals, volunteers, and supporters, the Trust aims to create a lasting impact in the field of rural healthcare. Conclusion

The successful completion of free eye checkup and surgery camps across multiple villages of Uttarakhand stands as a testament to Devisha Charitable Trust’s dedication to inclusive healthcare and social responsibility. By restoring vision and spreading awareness, the Trust continues to work toward a healthier, brighter, and more equitable future for all.https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7424691261518807041
